Mutual friends kept telling Sassy Jacobs and Sarah Cannova that they should really meet each other. Frustrated by the omnipresence of chains and sick of journeying to suburban department stores for poorly edited selections of designer shoes, these shoe junkies were desperate for a fix. Recently back in DC after stints in NYC, they felt it their duty to better serve their fellow shoppers.

An empty storefront on their favorite block—one full of locally owned boutiques—was transformed from gross to glamorous, and the pink-walled, cheetah-carpeted Sassanova opened its doors on September 23rd, 2003. Stocked with great shoes, jewelry and accessories you never knew you needed, sassanova well-serves Washingtonians and as of recently—mini-Washingtonians too (infant and kids shoes).

Fast forward five years later and one fabulous manager-turned-partner-in our Baltimore store and you'll find yourself at Sassanova's latest venture in Harbor East. Flanked by other boutiques, restaurants, high-end condos, hotels and one sparkly, Baltimore waterfront and that's where you'll find the chic addition to the sassanova family. Same great concept and service but don't look for the same decor. You'll know it's us because it's one-of-a-kind—from wallpaper to shoe selection, that's sassanova.
